I went with my son and a couple of his friends not really expecting too much, but Captain Austin brought us to places where the mangrove snapper were biting as soon as we threw the lines in. we did the 4-Hour trip but the time went by so quick we decided next time we’ll probably do a 6 or 8 hour trip with him. he also filled the fish when we got back. well worth the money and don’t forget to tip the captain. We had an amazing time on our fishing trip in the Keys with Austin! We were hoping to hook a tarpon, and while we managed to get one on the line, we weren’t able to bring it to the boat — but that didn’t take away from the experience one bit. We caught some trout and bait fish, and Austin knew exactly where to go and shared tons of fishing tips with our son, which made the trip even more special. Austin was a great Captain, the boat and equipment were clean and well functioning. Austin also was very attentive to helping my 2 sons as they were fairly new to fishing (now they want to go again). For example Austin had a spare rod so if a snag occurred or tackle change required, he would give the spare rod so you could keep fishing. We caught a number of different species and tried a number of spots for others as well. Very enjoyable and Austin is also very personable. Highly recommended.

I’m from PA and decided to do a snow bird trip to Key Largo.  Never fished there before and was excited to try the Florida Keys back country.  Despite it being so windy during the day, Austin put us on jack, barracuda, snapper, and snook.  At night we went for tarpon….WOW!  I had 2 hookups, one was an absolute giant, what an experience.  Austin was so knowledgeable and was able to switch his game plan based on weather and customer preferences.  Definitely book with Off Ice Charters!

Captain Austin did his job today.  We did the 8:30am trip.  He was patient and knew where to go to put us on fish.  It was windy today, but he got us into some spots where we could easily fish.  One spot was full of manatees, who stayed by the boat and visited with us.  He is a very engaging young man with a clean flats boat.  Highly recommend a trip for snapper, snook, grouper, jacks, you name it.
