Depending on conditions, you might hook into Striped Bass, Cod, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Flounder, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Seabass, and who knows what else! On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

You’ll be casting lines from Wade Awhile, a 36’ Cape Horn center console powered by 3 Yamaha 300hp engines with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials. There’s a head onboard for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
