Spring/Early Summer and Fall are the best times of the year to target numbers of Trophy sized Catfish! We practice catch and release of all trophy-sized Catfish. We Promote the conservation of our natural resources to ensure that people can enjoy this great fishery for years to come!
Predator Getter Outdoors welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks and drinks for the journey. The captain will have a cooler on board to keep everything chilled.
Capt. Austin welcomes you aboard a 20’ Jet boat with room for 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is included.
You will need to bring a valid PA fishing license and a headlamp to safely navigate around the boat in the dark and to see what you’re doing while fighting the biggest fish of your life!
All trips are rain or shine! Bring rain gear! Often times in Catfish season, there can be pop-up storms. Some of the absolute best Catfishing can be on rainy nights with high muddy waters from recent rain.
Wear appropriate clothes for the potential weather. For example, a UV shirt and sunglasses for a daytime trip and a hoody for a nighttime trip. For early Spring and late Fall excursions, warm layered winter clothes.

This was my step son’s birthday present and we were not disappointed. 4 of us, 6hrs of fishing and landed 5 fish. 1 was 42lbs!!! What a great night with great conversations!! Austin is a great dude and very knowledgeable about flatheads and the Susquehanna River. Highly recommend this guy!!!

Predator Getter got em! Great Captain and equipment! Our three big fish total was 127 lbs Austin is very knowledgeable and is eager to share information about the fishery. My boys and I had a great evening and came to appreciate this trophy fishery in the Susquehanna. Definitely going back to get a 50 lb class fish.

If you want to target trophy flatheads this is the guide to do it with. We had a great time with Austin from predator getter outdoors, he tried his hardest to get us on the big fish. Iv been on a good amount of guided trips and what sticks out to me was captain Austins love for the fish we targeted. We ended up with one nice 29 pound flathead and a few smaller ones but again it’s fishing and you can’t predict where the fish will be with 100 percent accuracy. If you want to book with predator getter outdoors you can also look them up on Facebook and see more pictures of the giants that captain Austin is able to land.

If you want to target giant Flatheads and be successful then look no further than Predator Getter Outdoors! Austin is a supremely knowledgeable Flathead expert who employs some of the most innovative fishing techniques that I have seen. He literally makes his own custom rigs and lures with live bait to provide an irresistible presentation to those large flatheads. The kids said they felt like we were on the show River Monsters and Austin was Jeremy Wade! The kids loved Austin and he was very patient with them and he explained everything that was going on. Austin knows every inch of that river and more importantly, he knows all the secret honey holes to make your trip a success. With 2 young kids we only went for the half trip and came in around midnight, but Austin wasn’t about to let **hidden content** bait go to waste. He went back out and sent me picks of a 40lb and 41lb Flathead he caught later that night. So if you’re hardcore and don’t mind staying up past your bedtime then I would highly recommend going for the full trip when some of the biggest fish come out to feed! So if you dream about catching Huge Apex predators like Flatheads then make sure to give Austin a call and he will make that dream a reality!
