Blue Ice Alaska Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Seward. With Captain Michael at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Halibut, Black Rockfish, Rockfish, Lingcod, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year.
You can expect to do some fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll step aboard a 34’ Armstrong Luxury catamaran that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Michael will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, you may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
