Gin Clear is a 38’ custom built Smith express with a spacious cockpit; great for when there’s multiple hookups and plenty of comfortable seating in the shade in between bites. Depending on conditions, EZ2CY enclosures can be opened up for excellent air flow as well as unobstructed views of whats going on around the vessel. 

Most of the time Captain R.J. is scouring the water from up in the tower for a better vantage point than those in the smaller boats, some days giving Gin Clear the “edge,” especially for kite fishing or trolling a weedline.

Down below in the cabin there is a fully functional head as well as more bench seating and plenty or storage for well maintained, state-of-the-art tackle and equipment.

Trolling and kite-fishing (livebait) are the crew's primary methods of fishing but they are not opposed to drifting or bottom fishing as alternatives depending on time of year, target species, and whats been biting out there.  Livebait is an additional cost:  The crew always recommends bringing at least some because you never know whats going to swim up!  Kind of like insurance; better to “have it and not need it” than to “need it and not have it!”

Captain R.J. and mate Nicholas work hard to to put their guests on fish.  Often times their day begins hours before the trip and cleanup or prep for the next day can last hours after.  Tips are appreciated and 15-20% of the trip price is the norm.
