Make the most of your time in Yankeetown and go fishing with Old Florida Lodge. Captain Joel and his mate will be your guides, giving you access to years of knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Red Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Gag Grouper, Amberjack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before it’s "Fish on!"
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 33ft Hydra Sports Center console with triple 300 Yamahas; with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials.
Old Florida Lodge will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Old Florida Lodge is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
