Fishing around here will often see you targeting Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass, White Bass, Catfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, and more with any luck. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll be casting lines from a 22’ Blue Wave center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Our family of 4 including our two young children got picked up from our dock at sunrise and they had us catching fish only a few minutes later. We caught over 60 fish, a mix of white bass and striper. They were very patient and helpful and good with our kids. When we were all done they took us back to our dock and cleaned all of our fish. We had a great experience and would definitely go with them again.

My son and I had a great experience. We caught over 40 fish with multiple techniques. Had a blast with the crew. They were very knowledgeable of the area and lake. Taught us a lot on techniques and why you do it. Would recommend to anyone. You won’t be sorry

Our first guided tour!

We loved our tour with Captain Chris. He showed us 3 different methods/techniques and different tackle. We caught 5 striper and 2 sand bass. Captain Chris was awesome and so accommodating to our 2 year old we brought on the excursion. He also gave us several wonderful recommendations for great food and activities to do locally. Everyone had an amazing time and I HIGHLY recommend Krazy Fins Tour.
