You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 30’ Center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.

You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
