There’s a fish with your name on it in Kvarner Bay and Tira Fishing & Boat Charter will help you catch it!
Depending on the season, you might hook into Blue Marlin, Dentex, Gilt-head (Seabream), Atlantic Mackerel, Bonito, Black Bream, Common Pandora, European Seabass, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Scorpionfish, anything else that bites at the moment! On these trips, it’s common to drift, bottom fish, and free-line fish.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board.
You’ll be casting lines from a special fishing boat; a 23’ Arvor Pilothouse that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and bait. Live bait is on offer to and will be used depending on the fishing technique.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate who is also very experienced in fishing and boating.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.

Family fun at sea with plenty of fish
That was a lot of fun 🥳 not just for everyone, but especially for our boys; probably the highlight of the holiday for the kids. At first, there wasn’t much happening out at sea, but then we came across a school of mackerel near the surface and things really took off – over 20 fish caught! 🎣 Always there to help with baiting, unhooking, cleaning the fish, and so much more: Captain Renato. 🙏 Thanks for a fantastic day on the water! Today we’re grilling fish.🔥🐟🔥

È stata un'ottima esperienza grazie alla competenza, alla dedizione e alla simpatia del capitano Renato che ha permesso la riuscita della catturare di un bel tonno. Siamo andati tutta la famiglia e sarà un ricordo che porteremo con noi per sempre. Quando il mulinello inizia a fischiare è emozionante! Grazie Renato, se torneremo in Croazia, ci rivedrai sicuramente.

Great Day on the Water
Renato knows the waters and the fish around his home port of Bakarac. Had a great late spring fishing 1/2 day that produced a bounty of mackerel with an affable captain. We were on fish just 15 minutes after leaving the harbor. I’m certainly a new believer in Croatia and Croation fishing.
