As a sea lover, fishing, and my hometown Bakarac I have been fascinated by its Tuna observation posts and the stories they tell since I was a child. The love grew with me so I started researching and developing the idea of recreating Tuna fishing in the way it was done years ago and in 2015 I organized the first simulation of Tuna fishing the old-fashioned way. This event called 'Tira, Tira!' expanded in the following years and became recognized as one of the most significant summer events in the area. In 2018 it was recognized by the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and the magazine 'Way to Croatia' and we received the award Simply the Best for the creativity of the event, which with its content enriches the tourist offer of the local community and nurtures customs. With the development of 'Tira' my desire for real fishing for big fish only grew stronger so for the last few years I have been competing with my team in Big Game competitions as a member of the BigOm club from Omišalj, Krk, and for the last couple of seasons I have been the holder of the national fishing quota for big fish. I live by the sea and with the sea so I set sail all year round, fishing according to season.

Awesome day out fishing

Thank you so much for the wonderful morning you gave us. Both we and our children had a great time, and it has definitely been the best part of our holiday so far. Thank you for your hospitality, you made us feel very welcome. During the first part of the fishing trip we weren't lucky enough to find large specimens, but in the second part there was no shortage of fun, nor of fish.

Der Angelausflug mit Renato hat uns super viel Spaß gemacht. Renato ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Er kennt das Gewässer sehr gut und weiß wie man die Fische anlockt. Am ersten Spot hatten wir um uns herum noch ca. 3 weitere Fischerboote. Wir hatten in 1,5 Std. ca 15 Makrelen geangelt. Bei den anderen Booten waren kaum Bisse zu sehen. Am zweiten Spot hat es genauso gebissen und wir hatten am Ende jede Menge Fisch für den Grill. Alles in einem hat es unserer ganzen Familie sehr viel Spaß gemacht.

Our experience was unforgettable. Even we if we didn't have a Fish on. Renato is a very kind and cool Captain and takes time to explain you all around the boat and fishing. We didn't catch a big Fish but it was still more than worth the money and for our surprise, Captain Renato made us an apero, which was delicious. I fully recommend you guys to book a Trip with Renato.

We had a lot of fun. Our captain Renato ,the atmosphere, equipment were great. Even tho we were not experienced we got guidence and were able to enjoy ourself and catch fish. So I would say its a good way to spend your time regardless of your experience with fishing.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen, erfolgreichen Tag! Renato war super sympathisch, lustig und hilfsbereit beim eigenen Angeln. Ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis, das wir definitiv wiederholen, aber nur mit Renato ;) Absolut empfehlenswert!!
