Marsh Maven Fishing Charters
Marsh Maven Fishing Charters offers light tackle and fly fishing charters among the network of flats, marshes and tidal creeks around Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Fishing charters are held aboard a 17’ Mitzi Skiff flats boat that is ideal for traversing the shallow water in the area. While this stable vessel is very spacious, Marsh Maven Charters prefers to have a maximum of 2 anglers aboard at a time to allow them to get the most out of their fishing trip. However, if you would like to take kids along, 3 people can be accommodated. The boat is equipped with a range of navigational electronics, a trolling motor, and plenty of storage.
Your fishing trip will see you targeting inshore species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder with conventional tackle or fly fishing gear. You will be using Penn Conflict reels and Shimano rods for spinning, or Ross and G-Loomis for fly fishing, and could employ a variety of tactics to hook your target fish.
Whether you’re an experienced angler hoping to cast a fly after the tailing Red or have never fished before and want a fun day out on the water, Marsh Maven Charters will do everything they can to make your personalized fishing adventure one to remember.
Catch and release is encouraged, however, Captain David is happy to clean and fillet your catch if you would like to take it home for dinner at the end of the day.
Please note, that the departure time is based on the tides and customer preference.
