Salt Bay Charters – Matlacha
There’s a fish with your name on it in Southwest Florida, and Salt Bay Charters will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Dave McPeak can tell you all about the local fishery.
"Today, my goal with every client is that they leave me having learned something new each time we go out on the water. It’s all about being safe, having fun, enjoying the surroundings, learning new things, making memories, and of course, catching some fish!" - Capt. Dave.
These waters are home to Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, and more with any luck. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to spin-fish or even cast a popping cork using light tackle. Capt. Dave also offers fly fishing, including the gear, but you may want to bring your own fly gear that you’re accustomed to using.
Capt. Dave welcomes you aboard an 18’ Flats boat that can carry up to 2 passengers, in addition to the Captain. It comes with all the essentials that no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Bottled water and ice are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Salt Bay Charters is just a click away.
