Book your next trip with Hunter SportFishing and find out what fishing in Stock Island is all about.
Species like Mahi Mahi, Cero Mackerel, Cobia, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Snowy Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Hunter can also have you kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your boat for the day is a 28’ SeaHunter center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It’s always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now’s the time to experience fishing in Stock Island for yourself, with Hunter SportFishing!
