Lagtime Charters invites you to experience the stunning waters of Gloucester. With Captain Dana at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

These waters are known for Striped Bass, Bluefish, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! On these trips, you can expect to troll using light tackle.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

You'll be casting lines from a 25' Cobia center console with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter. Live bait will be caught on the trip.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had an awesome time celebrating my father’s birthday! Dana was a great captain and put us right on the fish doubling up on some 40+ inchers on the first cast. He was a pleasure, communicative, and highly knowledgeable about the area - sharing some fun facts and conversation about the Gloucester area and history. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Captain Dana, 
Knowledgeable local with a great backstory. He was inviting and he is a very patient teacher. I took my boys to catch their first stripers and they did just that by doubling up on( 2) 40 inch fish. I would recommend Dana if you're in town .

It was a pleasure having Mike and the boys on board today.  They did a great job learning how to fish with live bait.  We were able to find a few nice fish despite it being dead low tide.

Tough trip, baitfish were difficult to find for the first time all seaaon.  We did spend too much time looking for bait, however if we were going to catch large bass, live bait was required.

Saturday Morning Charter With Captain Dana

Half Day Trip on August 26, 2023 • 4 adults

Had an amazing morning out on the water today thanks to Captain Dana. We haven’t been fishing in a couple years and this was the exact experience we were looking for. Captain Dana took care of every detail. We spent time at the beginning catching bait fish. It took some time to get the bait fish but we didn’t expect to get anything with the first few casts any way. He was very easy to talk to which is great when your out on the water for a few hours and answered all of our questions about fishing, the fishing industry, and the local area. The four of us in our group all grew up in the area and Captain Dana had plenty of new information to share with us. We caught some striped bass and were able to keep one but one was actually so big we couldn’t keep it. Our group definitely made some great memories and will charter with him again.

Tyler and his group of friends were a lot of fun today.  Fishing started out slow, but we finally found some bait and turned it into a couple of nice fish!  It was great having them onboard.  I had as much fun as they did.

Productive Half Day on the Water

I love to include a fishing experience in my travel plans and I’m glad I booked this one! We drove from Boston and it was worth every penny. All the cards were dealt perfectly. Great weather, great bait fish, and great Stripers. We had two in our party and caught at least a dozen of these prehistoric monsters. We started out with a 35 in her and they only got bigger from there. Captain was a great guide and found a great spot that day.

All the stars lined up for our trip on Saturday.  Leslie is an experienced fisherman (woman) who handled the rod well.  Both her and Matt adapted to fishing with live bait quickly, and the results speak for themselves.  It was great having them onboard!
