If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll be casting lines from a 25' Cobia center console with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter. Live bait will be caught on the trip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Capt. Dana was a great host and clearly very exoerienced. We had great success catching mackerel for live bait but unfortunately no luck catching bass…not for lack of trying as Capt. Dana took us to several different (reliable) spots. We’d definitely charter with Capt Dana again in the future.

it was nice having Katy and her family on board. We covered a lot of water in our search for bass. It was a nice day for a boat ride.
Lots of great catches there was two of us and we caught 4 striped bass one being a keeper! Captain Dana was very personable and knowledgeable with the history of Gloucester and gave us a great tour as well as an awesome fishing trip! Would definitely do it again and highly recommend booking with him!

it was great having Theresa and her mom aboard today. it was a perfect day for fishing a d bith if them quickly mastered fishing with live bait.

We had a great time fishing with Capt. Dana. Helpful and patient with my novice relatives out on the water!

David and his son David, and Ollie were fun to have onboard yesterday. Mackerel alley lived up to its name. We filled the live well up in no time. Both boys seemed ti enjoy bringing up stringers full of macs up. we made out way through the fog to several of my favorite spots without and takers. Finally at the lasr stop we found a keeper.

couldn’t find baitfish, so less time devoted to Striper fishing

Tough trip, baitfish were difficult to find for the first time all seaaon. We did spend too much time looking for bait, however if we were going to catch large bass, live bait was required.

We had an awesome time celebrating my father’s birthday! Dana was a great captain and put us right on the fish doubling up on some 40+ inchers on the first cast. He was a pleasure, communicative, and highly knowledgeable about the area - sharing some fun facts and conversation about the Gloucester area and history. Highly recommend. We will be back!

It was great to have Johnathan and his group on board. They caught on to fishing with live bait immediately. Hopefully it was a birthday his dad will remember.
I've been fishing since I was old enough to hold a fishing rod. I've been fishing from a boat around Cape Ann since 1996, and fish commercially for Striped Bass.
