Around here, the fishing is popular for Black Grouper, Amberjack, Mangrove Snapper, Swordfish, Red Grouper, Kingfish, Gag Grouper, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Snapper, Snowy Grouper, and more, depending on the time of year. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they’re within the legal limit. The crew can even clean your catch for you. Have a cooler ready in the car!

You’ll be casting lines from a 45’ Smith center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Kenneth will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
