Tarpon Masters - Sportsman 20’7
PR Tarpon Masters Fishing Charters is here to show you the stunning waters of San Juan. With Captain Francisco Prieto at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Capt. Francisco specializes in catching Tarpon, but many other exciting species inhabit these waters, such as Tarpons,Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Snapper, and more, depending on the time of the year. On these trips, it’s common to troll using live bait, drift fishing, anchor fishing with dead bait, and other techniques. Capt. Francisco also offers fly fishing and will include the gear. Tarpon is strictly catch-and-release.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. It’s always wise to bring snacks, sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Just be sure to avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Capt. Francisco operates a 20’ Sportsman bay boat with a capacity for 4-6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip!
Sometimes there will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary. Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Captain Francisco Prieto?
