+2Captain Steve specializes in drift fishing and wade fishing the flats in the bay for Redfish, Flounder, and Speckled Trout. When the weather conditions are favorable, you can venture nearshore, bottom fishing for Red Snapper. If you prefer trolling, go for King Mackerel.
If you’re an angler who enjoys to catch, photograph, and release - by all means, you are welcome to come on board. Just as well for those who want to keep there catch.
You’ll be fishing on a 22’ Majek Redfish Line boat that accommodates up to 4guests. This bay boat is powered by a 175 HP Mercury engine, features navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and a cooler. Captain Abel is a licensed USCG Captain and has all the necessary safety equipment on board, so you can feel safe and enjoy your fishing trip.
You’ll fish with lures, both hard and soft plastics. Cut bait for bottom fishing is the best choice if you’re targeting big Redfish. You can also use live bait such as live pinfish, live shrimp, and live croaker. Don’t miss out on the chance to fish with a popping cork, the way big trout like it.
All your fishing equipment, catch cleaning, and refreshing drinks are covered by the captain. You’ll need to bring your fishing license and pack some snacks for the day.

5-Hour AM Bay Fishing Trip on June 14, 2025
I told the captain the only thing I wanted was to catch sea trout and reds. I didn't care how or where, just wanted to do it. He promised it would happen, and man was he right! We had an awesome day knocking 2 species off my list. It was a great day. He will take care of you.

Cpt Hillary was great and really knew where the fish were. We limited out on trout, caught a big black drum, a super nice redfish, and even an oversized trout. Would definitely go out again and recommend to everyone.

Captain Steve maintains his equipment above and beyond what is expected. His rods, reels, and boat all reflect his commitment to his job. We do a lot of fishing, and my personal reels are good but the reals on his boat were smoother than they come out of the box. When I asked him about this, he said that he breaks down and cleans the reels after each trip, now THAT’s what I call a dedicated captain. Bravo!
