    Challenging But Walk & Wade is Most Fun Technique

    Morning Bay Fishing Trip (5hr) • 3 adults

    Day 3 - Beautiful sunrise for our morning trip. Captain Hilary planned a Walk & Wade and it did not disappoint. Captain gave instructions to make sure we were safe and turned us loose. My brother got into Speckled Trout right away and so did my niece. My niece learned a new technique and waded for the first time. She learned seversl new skills today such as landing and unhooking fish on her own without a net, while doubling her casting distance. Between us we caught over two dozen Specks, and my niece caught the only Redfish of the day. She said it was her favorite method of fishing so far on the trip and already wants to do another Walk & Wade.

    Incredible Fishing Trip!!

    Morning Bay Fishing Trip (5hr) • 2 adults • 1 child

    From start to finish, this experience was memorable, fun, and incredibly well run. Captain Steve was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. My 7 year old son hasn’t stopped talking about the adventure and was thrilled with everything they saw and the amount of fish they caught. What really stood out was how family friendly the trip was while still being exciting and engaging. You can tell Captain Steve genuinely cares about creating a great experience for his guests. If you’re looking for a fun outing near South Padre that both adults and kids will love, this is it. We highly recommend it and would absolutely book again!

    First Redfish and Another Nice Black Drum

    Afternoon Bay Fishing Trip (5hr) • 3 adults

    Day 2 - Targeted Drum in deeper water using a different technique. Very fun day but a tough bite. Captain Hilary put us on the fish and my brother landed his first Redfish ever right away and what a nice fish. Got another one on but didn’t get it to the boat. Then the bite slowed down. The Captain kept us on the Drum, and persistence paid off. My niece won her battle against a nice Black Drum.

    Great Family Fishing Memory

    Full Day 8 Hour Fishing Trip • 4 adults • 2 children

    Big Thanks to Captain Steve. He helped make a memorable fishing trip for my family. He made both my daughters feel very comfortable the whole trip, and gave them great advice on casting. We used live bait and lures throughout the trip leading to a successful fishing trip. He took us to multiple fishing spots as the bite changed. We caught 7 trout and 1 redfish in the slot, and many more outside the allowable slot size. My daughter even caught an oversized 25" trout. Thanks for memories Captain!!

    First SPI Fishing Trip

    Morning Bay Fishing Trip (3hr) • 4 adults

    I would highly recommend booking Captain Steve. He was helpful and very knowledgeable. He had a nice and clean boat and packed ice cold drinks for us. First spot we stopped at was slow so he moved us to a second spot and we were able to catch our limit in two hours. He didn’t cut our time short and let us keep fishing our full 3 hours. He even had good recommendation on where to take our fish that night for dinner. I would book with him again next time we’re in town.

We focused on drift fishing, and bottom fishing techniques throughout the morning. Carlos and crew managed to land some solid redfish during our session. These techniques work really well in our local waters because they let us cover different depths and structure effectively. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around.

Sunrise Bay Fishing Delivers Speckled Tr

Sep 24, 2026 • South Padre Island
Cain and family joined us for an early morning fall trip that started right at sunrise. The weather conditions were perfect for getting out on the water, and we had solid water conditions that set us up well for a productive day. Today We Fish Charter and Adventures was ready to put them on some fish with our 3 Hour Morning Bay Fishing Trip. We focused our efforts on bottom fishing and drift fishing techniques, with some trolling mixed in to cover more water. Cain and their crew managed to land some nice Speckled Trout throughout the morning. The bay fishing really delivered for us, and these techniques work great in these waters because they let us target the structure and current breaks where these fish like to hang out. We wrapped up the trip with some solid catches and good times all around.

Huan and their crew joined us for a September morning trip starting with clear conditions throughout the day. The weather stayed consistent which made for solid fishing conditions on the water. We headed out with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures for what turned out to be a productive outing. We focused our efforts on different techniques and areas, which proved effective for targeting the species we were after. Huan and their crew managed to land some nice Mangrove Snapper along with a Bonnethead Shark during our time on the water. These techniques work well in our local waters because they allow us to cover different depths and structure where these fish typically hold. We also mixed in some trolling to keep lines wet and maximize our opportunities. The crew did great with the different approaches and we wrapped up the trip with some solid catches and good times all around.
