Scott’s Guide Service
Make some memories in Guntersville and go fishing with Scott's Guide Service. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Scott can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Crappie, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. You'll target your catch by spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Kids are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 21' Phoenix Bass boat that holds up to 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Scott's Guide Service!

If you’re looking for an incredible bass fishing experience, I highly recommend this guide service! From the moment we hit the water, it was obvious that the guide knows exactly what they’re doing. They were extremely knowledgeable about the lake, knew where to find the fish, and were great at explaining techniques and helping me improve throughout the trip. The equipment was top-notch, the boat was clean and well-maintained, and the entire trip was professional, relaxed, and a lot of fun. We caught some great bass and had an experience I’ll definitely remember. Whether you’re an experienced angler or someone who’s just getting into bass fishing, this is a guide service I would highly recommend. I’ll absolutely be booking another trip!

Very patient with teen anglers 🙄 and helped our crew find the fish on what was by everyone’s account a slow week bc of cold weather. Accepted our last minute booking and grateful to Scott for helping us wrap up a great vacation!

Captain Scott was timely and responsible and knowledgable. He was very patient with my grankids and we got some great photos. I learned some great new techniques for bass fishiing!
Scott worked his butt off to put me on fish. We fished 5 hours on a four hour trip and only could get a couple of small fish and 3 rolls on a plopper. Not the captains fault they dropped the lake 2 feet and the temps dropped 10 degrees. Apparantly thefiah took a day off.

Scott is a top notch guide! Scott worked hard all day to put my 10 year old son and I on fish. I would recommend anyone booking with Scott for a fun trip!
I grew up fishing at Lake Eufaula. It was a great lake then and I won my share of tournaments there. Then I started traveling to fish in Guntersville and fell in love with the lake and the area. Now I guide here and love it!
