Scary Good Sportfishing 

Come spend a day with me chasing big walleyes! I’m a professional tournament guy as well as a charter captain with tons of experience in catching giant walleye! I will show you how and let you have as much hands on experience you want, I enjoy teaching my techniques and watching clients put that to use and catch the fish by them selves if they choose, please consider me for your next charter and lets fill that freezer!

Top targets include Walleye, and more, depending on the season. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.

Trips with Scary Good Sportfishing are fun for all ages, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so please make sure you have the right fitting one when coming on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 21’ Starcraft aluminum fishing boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
