Getter Done Charters LTD invites you to experience the stunning waters of Nanaimo and Ladysmith.
For our winter trips we launch from two different locations. One being Nanaimo 1890 Zorkin road. The other one being Ladysmith 837 Ludlow road. Make sure to discuss with the captain on what location they plan to leave from. Location will be dependent on the productivity of the waters in both location and what species you want to target. PRAWNING IS CLOSED IN NANAIMO AREA UNTIL APRIL 1ST 2025
The fish in these waters include Chinook Salmon, Crab, Shrimp, and more, depending on conditions. On these trips, it's common to troll using light or heavy tackle. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that's dinner!
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Grady White offshore sport fishing that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, buying a local fishing license for everyone in your group may be necessary. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Trips with Getter Done Charters are child-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. A few items to bring include snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Travelled from Alberta with the grand boys during Spring break knowing the weather can be challenging at times. Best for them to experience fishing on the coast in March rather than the last trip they had with Brannen in August when fishing was tropical. Weather window worked out perfect with sun and a bit of wind but no rain. Brannen was a great skipper and a passionate experienced fisherman, the boys had a great time. Lost count of the fish we had to release including 1 Rock Cod and ! Pacific Cod. The Keeper was a 10 lb. Chinook. Yes this would be a repeat charter next time on the Coast. Oh, forgot the, crabs 4 keepers. Terry

Awesome trip! Brannen went above and beyond to make a truly memorable trip. Down to earth yet professional at the same time. Our group ranged from 9-73 years old and everyone was comfortable and excited start to finish. Brannen shared his extensive knowledge and then tested the kids, pulling heads and tails from the bait bucket then encouraging them to identify as Koho or Chinook. We each got the experience we wanted, from sitting back and watching the Captain tirelessly work to getting hands on and helping set/retrieve traps and clean the catch. And of course cranking in those Chinook was a highlight! 100% recommended.

My friends and I had a great time fishing, the weather was amazing, and the scenery was like out of a painting! The captain was fun and we all got along really well. He was very prepared and knowledgeable and taught us a lot about fishing and worked hard all day for us! As soon as he set the rod a fish was on! Lots of action but not many keepers unfortunately. But the one salmon we brought home was delicious! And that crabs were the best we've had. I'd recommend him for sure, and will book again in the summer when there's more keepable salmon. Overall wonderful day!

Free cancellation up to 14 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
