If you’re looking for a professionally guided experience near Salta, look no further than Fishing Trips Argentina. Here, you can cast a line in local waters, including some spots known only to the locals.

The name of the game around here is fly fishing, which is what you’ll be doing on the day of your trip. You can also drift and spin for your catch. Our captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and live bait. The target species is Golden Dorado.

You’ll navigate the local waters on a 16’ inflatable outboard that can accommodate up to 2 passengers. They can accommodate up to 4 guests in total in similar boats. Ask the captain for details. Your fishing license for the day is included, and the captain will help you follow local regulations.

It’s always recommended to wear layered clothing and appropriate footwear (if you’re unsure what that means, ask). Bringing bottled water, sunscreen, sunglasses, rain or shine, is never a bad idea. Our captain will have some snacks and drinks for you.

The fishing in salta is very complicated and not worth it. Only for those who are really ready to spend whole days on a heat with mosquitoes trying to catch something. Locals say that it’s definitely not the region for fishing.

Thank you for your feedback! You’re right—fishing in Salta can be tough, but that’s because it’s a completely natural environment. The Juramento River is one of the few places where you can fish for Dorado in its natural habitat, surrounded by unspoiled landscapes. It’s a challenge, but for those who enjoy raw, untamed nature, it’s a unique opportunity.
