My husband and I took are two young (twin) boys age 6 fishing (light tackle) and we also made special stops to see the pigs and turtles. Captain Chris is amazing, easy going, made sure it weather is good and safe to go. Supplied everything we needed. And good company. I’m so glad we could help support his passion he had for his career. We hope this review helps more families or couples to do the same! We’re from Canada and first time in Bahamas and this was the highlight of our entire trip! Thanks so much Captain Chris! We will be back soon!

My family of four- my husband and I and two teenage boys age 13 and 15 loved this day so much. Weather was not good for fishing but we had a great swim with the pigs experience and toured some quiet beaches.  Captain Chris intuitively knew what kind of day we wanted and gave us a personalized trip that was absolutely awesome. We avoided crowds and made some great family memories with stops only locals would take you to. He was very focused on safety, which we appreciated and were thankful for. Do yourself a favor and book with Chris on your trip to Nassau- for fishing or sightseeing. He is the best!

What can I say? We had an amazing day with Chris!

Our 7 day Caribbean cruise was supposed to stop in Haiti, but given the current political strife, our ship was diverted to Nassau. Our family, having been there before and done all the things the cruise line offered, we decided to go rouge.

We booked a 4 hour trip with fishing, snorkeling, and pig beach.

Our trip started with a cruise out of the port, out past the mansions on the island into near shore open water. Chris got us on the fish right away, catching grunt, strawberry grouper, and a large triggerfish.

Once the tide started to change and the bite dropped of, he rigged up some ballyhoo with skirts on heavy tackle to troll for a bit while we circled back towards one of the small islands to a snorkeling spot. We didn’t end up landing anything while trolling but he put us on a great little shallow reef for snorkeling.

The reef was full of all the Caribbean species. Grunt, Sargent major damsel, blue tang, thalasomma wrase, gramma loreto, and a very large grey pomacanthus angel fish.

Monestrea and porities were the dominant coral species. Bottom depth was about 10’

At this point we decided to extend our trip another 2 hours. Chris then took us to another snorkeling location.

The second location was as good as the first with the addition of a stand of acropora palmatta that had long died back but was providing great structure hold fish and many other invertebrates.

From there we went to a local swim with pigs location where Chris negotiated a discounted price from this vendor.

A short cruise back to the port, a quick dip into the Atlantis marina, and back to Chris’s slip.

Chris provided bait, light snacks, water, and rum punches. We packed some sandwiches made from the cruise buffet as our 15 year old son eats nonstop.

Chris was awesome, laid back, and made sure we got to do ALL the things. Got his phone number and will be recommending him to anyone that wants to do something like this.

My best friend and I booked this trip because it had the option to see the pigs, fish and snorkel if we wanted for basically the same price as if you sat on one of the guided tours with 85 people (NO THANKS).
We wanted something that would allow us to do it all without the crowds. We live on the water and so our main goal was to just get on the boat and enjoy the views. While we didn’t catch any fish, we still had an amazing time. We chose to troll instead of bottom fish- and also took an afternoon trip.  We swam with the pigs and cruised around by Atlantis.

Chris was extremely attentive, talkative, helpful and determined to catch us something!! But, it’s called fishing not catching so you can’t always guarantee a bite. I own a sport-fishing boat so this didn’t bother us one bit.

We felt safe (just us to girls out there) and will definitely book Chris again next time we are in town. He provided water, rum punch, soda, ice.

Boat was comfortable Only regret is we didn’t book a full day!!
