Book your next trip with Hit Fishing and Tours and find out what fishing in Umag is all about. Your guide for the day is Captain Oliver, allowing you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.
Around here fishing is popular for Bluefin Tuna, European Seabass, Squid, Dentex, John Dory, Mahi Mahi, Atlantic Mackerel, and more. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Your adventure begins aboard a 24’ Marezeta offshore sport fishing vessel with space for 6 passengers. It has a fighting chair and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Now’s the time to experience fishing in Umag for yourself, with Hit Fishing and Tours!
