The waters around Boston are famous for incredible fishing, especially for Striped Bass and Bluefish. Depending on conditions, you may be trolling, jigging, or live-lining bait using light tackle to hook into these powerful fish. Any legal catch is yours to keep, and the crew will happily clean and prepare your fish for the ride home—just be sure to have a cooler waiting in the car!
Your trip takes place aboard a 32' Albemarle Express, a comfortable and reliable sportfishing boat that can accommodate up to 6 passengers. The boat is fully equipped with everything needed for a successful day on the water, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. When needed, live bait can also be caught during the trip. For your comfort, there is a private toilet on board as well.
A First Mate will be there to assist throughout the trip and make sure everything runs smoothly so you can focus on fishing. Mates work hard to make your experience memorable, and a 20% gratuity is customary.
Your fishing license is included with the charter, so there's no need to worry about paperwork—just show up ready to fish! Your captain will also ensure that all local fishing regulations, size limits, and seasonal rules are followed.
Families are always welcome, and kids are encouraged to join the adventure. Be sure to bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles for safety.

6 Hour Trip – Inshore Striped Bass on September 20, 2025Fantastic day all around! Started with a ride out to find the bait, caught about 40-50 Mackerels and the kids were going nuts pulling them in. Pure chaos and joy. Once we got the bait.. was time to fish and Captain Jay was patient and knew the spots.. finally found us a honey hole and we pulled some beauties in. We were a group of 2 adults and 4 teenagers and what a blast and all give it a 5 start review! Don't hesitate to book with Captain Jay! What a great day and experience all around from start to finish!

The communication was seamless, pickup location in the city was so convenient and my boyfriend and his 5 friends had the most amazing day out on the water. They caught some huge striped bass, the boat was super spacious and Jay and Joe were absolute pros and made sure they had a really fun day. Would highly recommend!

We had a blast on a charter going after stripers, and we caught several. We also had a lot of fun catching mackerel too. Captain J’s first mate John was super helpful with keeping us all on track with the rods and bait. Thank you for a wonderful morning, tasty fish, and excellent tunes!

6 Hour Trip – Inshore Striped Bass on August 26, 2023We had a great time with Captain Jay. He was very accommodating and friendly. He made sure to get a small life jacket for one of the kids that were suppose to join us. Pick up was in a very easy spot to find and it’s perfect if you’re coming from out of town. Jay and his crew were very knowledgeable about the area and knew exactly what rigs to use to guarantee us a catch. Once we were out in the harbor we got 3 big stripped bass almost back to back. If you’re visiting from out of town or are just looking to get out on the water, I’d highly recommend doing it Jason/ Sweet and Salty Charter.

Picked up in Boston right outside Tony C's and Legal Sea Food. 6 hours with the Boston skyline and plenty of luck on the day. The charter had everything we would hope it to have. Good people, good music, and a good time had by all. Everyone caught a fish and we were able to take 3 keepers home. Definitely recommend and the cost was extremely fair for the service provided.
