Dana Point Sportfishing is run by a small group of avid fishermen who all grew up in Southern California and have been fishing the local waters all their lives. Their superior knowledge of the area’s fishing grounds has contributed to them all becoming experts in finding fish both nearshore and offshore.
Their 26 ft Parker boat is fully equipped with the best equipment needed for sport fishing off the southern California coast. No expense has been spared in rigging this vessel to the highest possible standards. All the latest marine electronics are fitted on board, with a GPS and fishfinder as well as a side scan sonar to get you in the best place to find fish. There is a large live bait well and storage for at least 15 rods. With a 250 HP Yamaha engine, the boat can get you to fish fast, and its on board entertainment system will maintain a great atmosphere throughout the trip. And you won’t have to worry about being on a poorly maintained vessel: the company prides itself on having the cleanest sport fishing boats in the whole Dana Point harbor.
The crew of Dana Point Sportfishing are members of Accurate Reel’s Pro Staff and Shimano’s Guide programs, meaning their boats are equipped with some of the best and most up to date equipment on the market. They carry a wide variety of rods and reels, so they are ready to tackle any fish they might come across. They usually target a wide range of species, including but not limited to Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Marlin, various Shark species, Halibut, Yellowtail Amberjack, Bass, and Rock Cod.
Not only will you be supplied with top of the range gear on your trip, you will also be provided with ice to keep your catch fresh, and your fish will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip. All ages and ability levels are catered for, and the team will do all they can to make sure your whole group has a productive and memorable sport fishing experience.
