Dana Point has a fish with your name on it, so let Dana Wharf Sportfishing help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Corey knows them forwards and back.
You’re likely to go after Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, California Sheephead, Halibut, Rockfish, Sand Bass, Scorpionfish, White Seabass, Calico Bass, and more. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned.
Capt. Corey believes in teaching kids to fish while they’re young, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And you can’t go wrong with snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
Your adventure begins aboard a 30’ Pilothouse with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks and light snacks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Dana Wharf Sportfishing is just a click away.

3 Hour Trip
Went on a 3-hour guide. Pros. The captain was very friendly and motivated. He tried his best to get us on fish within the time period we had. We did catch a few fish. The boat was very nice and the guide was well experienced. Very family friendly. Cons: The trip in itself if somewhat expensive for only a 3-hour trip. Unless you catch a lot of fish within that window of time you might not feel like you get your money's worth. Overall had a great time, however, was disappointed in the amount of fish we caught.
