These waters are known for Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" For these species, you’re likely to use light tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be casting lines from a 23’ Four Sons flats boat with room for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Jon was extremely personable and knowledgeable. He was patient with my friend who was new to using spincast equipment. Jon showed us several techniques that we can use in the future and chased the fish to new spots when things got slow. He catered to the type of trip we wanted and met all expectations that we had. Jon was professional throughout the trip and only had quality gear onboard. This was a newer boat and was very clean. Smooth and quiet ride that was safe in all conditions we faced. I would highly recommend a trip with Jon.

Had a good trip with captain j he took us to some wrecks on the beach.I caught a 5 foot shark witch was pretty cool,caught red drum,caught a very nice Crocker,caught sea bass snd had a lot of bites.great half day trip.
