Make some memories in New York City and go fishing with Hunter Fishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Michael knows them forwards and back.

These waters are known for Flounder, Tautog, Cod, Black Seabass, Scup (Porgy), Striped Bass, Bluefish, Common Ling, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 36’ Uniflite Downeast with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Michael will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. You can’t go wrong when you bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Hunter Fishing!
