Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Drum, Bluefish, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, and whatever else is biting.
On these trips, it's common to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Nicholas also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll step aboard a 21' Bay boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
Capt. Nicholas will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Jim V. Great couple of days with Captain Nick. St Augustine can be a tough place to fish. His professionalism and expertise is second to none. I suggest a full day charter, the tides and the bite can be tricky. But, we slayed the red fish both days! I'll be back!
My son and I had the best time with Nick being our Captain. He made fishing easy. Pools were always ready for us and he put us on fish none stop. Great time and experience thanks a lot Nick.
I have been on several fishing charters with Capt. Becker and he always puts us on fish. My sons and i love fishing on his boat. We can accompany parties up to 8 for fish, and 12 people for scalloping having a fleet of two, 21ft boats. Safety is our number one priority!
