Pura Vida Charters invites you aboard for some of Florida's most exciting fishing! Choose from a variety of offshore fishing excursions on the Gulf of Mexico and reel in your own big catch. Captain Greg Macfarlane has been fishing these waters all his life, so he'll put you on the fish in no time.
Step aboard his 32' Sabalo Downeast boat, powered by a 370 HP Cummins engine. This craft comes equipped with a Furuno FCV-585 Fishfinder, GPS, VHF radio, radar, and sonar.
But it isn't just prepared for fishing, it's also designed for your comfort! Up to 6 anglers can enjoy a 15' fishing deck with comfortable seating, a private toilet, and a bed. A large icebox with plenty of ice is ready for your food, drinks, and fish.
Capt. Greg specializes in live bait fishing, he runs a variety of offshore fishing trips. Join him and fish for species such as Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, King Mackerel, and Tuna, depending on the season and conditions on the day.
Pura Vida Charters supplies rods, reels and tackle, live bait, fishing licenses, and full insurance. Capt. Greg prefers to release any game fish that are not very tasty, such as Shark, but any edible fish can be kept by the client. He is happy to clean and fillet your catch, and highly recommends taking it to a local restaurant after your trip, where it can be prepared for you!

What an incredible fishing trip with our family! Captain Greg and First Mate Aiden made the entire experience unforgettable. We did a 6 hour trip. From the moment we dropped our lines, it was nonstop action. The fish were biting all day, and we were constantly reeling them in. We must have caught and released more than 70 undersized fish, which kept everyone busy and smiling the whole trip. Captain Greg and Aiden were friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and worked hard to make sure we had an amazing time. If you’re looking for a fun, action-packed fishing charter, I highly recommend booking with them. We can’t wait to come back!
This was our 1st deep sea fishing charter, 4 adults and 2 children (5 & 12 yrs old). Captain Greg and mate Aden were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They put us on fish immediately landing 8 kingfish ,also caught 2 grouper which were out of season and had to throw back. Moved on to limit of snapper. Capt. Greg helped the 5 yr old with the fishing experience. The trip exceeded our expectations and I would book another trip with them in a heartbeat. Great trip!
Entire trip was wonderful. Captain put us on the fish all day. We caught grouper limit, for our party of four, in the first 1.5 hours. We caught additional fish and brought back snapper, as well. Great captain/mate, bait, equipment. Can’t wait to return and go out with Pure Vida again.
Enjoyed an amazing day of deep sea fishing with Pura Vida Charters! Captain Greg was amazing. We caught our limit of Red Grouper and a lot of Lane Snapper in less than an hour. Then we started sport fishing and caught Amberjacks until we got tired and then capped the day off with a 200+ pound Goliath Grouper! And we had several curious dolphins checking us out as we fished. A rare, perfect day of fishing with my son!
Great captain and mate. Capt M put us on some donkey sized red snapper and red grouper. This man knows the gulf and kept us catching fish for over 4 hours 35 miles offshore. We actually released more fish than we caught and had a blast doing it!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
