Spend the day with Pila’s Sport Fishing and let them show you what makes the fishing in Ensenada so memorable! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Alex can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, Calico Bass, California Sheephead, Lingcod, Rockfish, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, and anything else that bites. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 54’ Bertram sportfishing vessel that holds up to 13 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Alex will provide rods and reels for you. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Pila’s Sport Fishing?
