Matthew 14:17 Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Ruskin. With Captain Eric at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for , Redfish, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead and more β with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. On the day of your trip, expect and drag screaming rod bent trip of a life time.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 26' Ranger center console with space for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, bait and tackle.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10β20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license (in state and outta state), so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray) and sunglasses. Bottled water is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Beautiful fishing experience

Captain Erick took us fishing on his beautiful boat. We had an amazing time and will love to do it again. He clean all the fish afterwards and catered to us during the trip with things like allowed us to control the music preference from our own device via Bluetooth and took pictures of us and the fish we caught throughout the trip to make sure that we captured memories for the future. Keep up the awesome work captain Erick. and may God continue to watch over you and bless you. π€π£

Really fun trip with Capt Eric
Half Day Trip (AM) on April 14, 2023
Fishing with Capt Eric during Spring Break 2023 was a blast for the whole family, including the teenage kids! We met Capt Eric at the boat ramp and we were fishing for Speckled Seatrout in Tampa bay after a quick ride of 20 minutes or so. The whole family caught fish and we had a delicious fish fry for dinner! One exciting thing that happened was catching a Cormorant by accident. Capt Eric helped us gently release it unharmed, and the kids enjoyed getting a personal visit with the beautiful bird.

Great Fishing Trip
Half Day Trip (PM) on February 27, 2023
We had a blast fishing with Captain Eric Rumore! We had plenty of catches on our halfday trip. We caught a lot of sheepshead, some mangrove snapper, and a small snook. Never a dull moment and we caught a beautiful sunset on the way back. The captain definitely knew the waters well and put us on fish very quickly. A very memorable outing!

Captain Eric Rumore - Sheepshead!
Half Day Trip (PM) on February 27, 2023
We had a busy day pulling in Sheepshead. The captain knew just where to take us to put us on the fish! We had a few small mangrove snappers that hit like trucks. Next time we'll go hunting for them. The boat and equipment were well maintained and water was provided. I'll be booking another charter with him when we return next year.

Fishing Trip w/ Captain Eric!
Full Day Trip on August 21, 2022
We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter's birthday on a fishing charter with Captain Eric. He knew exactly where to go so we could enjoy catching some fish. We were able to catch all kinds of fish and everyone caught multiple fish. We all had an amazing time. He even prepped the fish for us that we were able to keep after our trip and recommended a wonder spot that was able to cook what we caught! He was great with the kids and very personable. Highly recommend!!
