Rolo's Fishing Adventures
Spend the day with Rolo’s Panga Adventures and get hooked on fishing the beautiful clear gulf waters just off the coast of South Padre Island! VERY IMPORTANT: My fishing trip capacity for both offshore and inshore is normally 3 persons. However, a 4th person may be added when possible if the weight on the boat is not too much. Please message me to get specifics.
Specializing in nearshore Red Snapper charters in state reefs and wrecks. At times bonus catches like Mahi, Mangrove Snapper, Gag Grouper, Lane Snapper, and/or Cobia. On these trips, it’s common to use mainly cut bait. However, on occasion lures may be more fun. The trips are mainly for 3 persons, however, 4 persons may be available with special provisions. Do inquire.
Make sure you bring your favorite sandwiches, tacos, and/or snacks. Make sure to bring additional water or hydrating drinks in the summer.
You will be fishing on a 22' Imemsa panga. It is definitely a small Gulf fishing adventure. Folks usually enjoy the boat ride as much as the fishing, especially the kids. Reel important to discuss details of your group to see if a 4th person can go.
Before coming aboard, you need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online with Texas Parks and Wildlife, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. Bring bottled water or your favorite hydrating drinks, especially in the summer. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid overdoing it.
Take a small boat nearshore fishing trip off your bucket list. Let's go out there and enjoy the beautiful waters off of South Padre Island, and catch some tasty snapper that you can enjoy the day you caught it.
Catch the moment, keep the fish!

Just got back from a half-day offshore trip with Captain Rolo and I can't recommend him enough! From the moment we left the dock, Captain Rolo knew exactly where to find the fish. We were hooked up with Red Snapper within the first hour. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helping us manage lines and getting the fish in the boat quickly. The boat was clean, fast, and equipped with top-notch gear. We caught our limit and had a blast. If you’re looking for a professional, hard-working captain , this is it! We will definitely be booking again next season.

Thank you for your review and that was indeed a special trip. Sometimes things don't turn out exactly as planned, but they can still turn out amazing. Beautiful day with good people is what it’s all about. Muchas gracias😊.

Excellent guide and really knows the area, wife and daughter got sea sick and captain was nice enough to take them back to the docks and took me back out to fish and catch our limit.

Had a great time on this trip captain Rolo was a awesome guide and put us on some fish quickly!

Thank you Ricky for choosing Rolo’s fishing adventures. Good memorable time on the water with you and Josie 😊

Thank you Tony and Aiden for a great time on the water. Always great to fish with Dad and son. 😊

A few days after stormy conditions the fishing was questionable. Captain Rolando recommended a delay of a day, went out to test the fishing and reported good snapper bites a few miles out in clear water. We had a great trip the next day and quickly caught our limit and released many smaller legal fish on the way to our limit. Perfect boat for 2 to 3 fishermen. Great vibe and super enjoyable trip.

Thank you for a great day on the water. Everything fell into place for us, and you guys are great company. Hoping to see you next year, and I hope all continues to go well for you guys while you are here in South Texas.
I, Capt. Rolo, run trips out of the Lower Laguna Madre area aboard a 22' Imemsa panga. I was born in Port Isabel in 1962 and lived on the docks and piers as a kid. Now I have extensive knowledge on catching the delicious, red snapper off the shores of South Padre Island. I have learned that the smaller boat, offshore fishing experience is definitely preferred by my repeat customers. It's a fishing, eco-watch, and exhilarating boat-ride experience all in one. Take it off your bucket list. It's a true adventure.
