Specializing in Red Snapper charters in state waters. At times bonus catches like Mahi, Mangrove Snapper, Gag Grouper, Lane Snapper, and/or Cobia. On these trips, it’s common to use mainly cut bait. The offshore trips are mainly for 3 persons, however, 4 persons may be available with special provisions. Do inquire.
Make sure you bring your favorite sandwiches, tacos, and/or snacks. Make sure to bring additional water or hydrating drinks in the summer.
You will be fishing on a 22' Imemsa panga. It is definitely a small Gulf fishing adventure. Folks usually enjoy the boat ride as much as the fishing, especially the kids. Reel important to discuss details of your group to see if a 4th person can go.
Before coming aboard, you need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online with Texas Parks and Wildlife, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid over doing it.
Rolo’s Panga Adventures is now doing bay fishing. I specialize in family trips with young would-be fisherman. I will ask parent or parents to engage an assist with their child in the process of casting, reeling, and netting. Fishing with popping corks with lures and with live shrimp. Target species is usually speckled trout and redfish, but other species may very well be caught.
