Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You’ll be casting lines from a 23’ Skeeter center console with space for 5 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
