If you want to experience shark fishing or surf fishing in Folly Beach, sullivans island, kiawah island, seabrook island, edisto beach, isle of palms or another beach around charleston then choose us we provide everything and set everything up so you just show up and fish.

We successfull catch all types of sharks big and small and plenty of other surf fishing species. We fish for everything to keep you busy catching something. We use light, medium and heavy tackle and fish from the surf to really far off the beach giving you a chance at some really awesome catches. You can take home any keepable catch your allowed to, there are some laws and regulations on size, species, and limits

Trips are ran with one to two people, the guide and the mate. We are passionate about what we do and love to do it. The main type of fishing we do is called land based shark fishing. It is where you fish from land for sharks using mostly big gear and baits targeting large sharks. We use kayaks and other methods to get our baits out far off the beach where the bigger fish usually are.

Trips with Charleston Shark and Surf Fishing are kid-friendly, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Don’t leave home without snacks, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is only allowed on some beaches, same with smoking. We do not smoke or drink but dont care what you do to have a good time just do it responsibly.

Because of the land based style of charter you have to purchase individual licenses because a captians license only covers a specific boat and doesnt provide coverage fishing from land.

Amazing Shark Fishing Adventure!

We had the best time with Charleston Shark and Surf! We caught 8 huge sharks, 2 spots, 1 stingray, and 1 small pompano — such an exciting and memorable day! Cory worked so hard and is incredibly knowledgeable about surf fishing. He made sure the bait was perfectly placed out in the surf to catch the big ones. Alvin, the “shark whisperer,” somehow always knew when we were about to get a bite. Jessy also jumped in to help, making it a fun and smooth team effort. They were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to—it honestly felt like fishing with good company who love what they do. This was by far the best fishing experience we’ve ever had. Highly recommend! 🦈🎣

Great Bachelor Party Activity

3 Hour Trip – mixed tackle 9AM on July 3, 2025 • 10 adults

Cory was an excellent guide who knew all the local details. Lots of rods cast, went above and beyond for us - even set up early so we could get right into it. Took some excellent quality baits out hundreds of yards for us. Lots of killer photos. One shark caught for us, but we got plenty of good photos with it. Additionally, he kept us updated ahead of time about weather and conditions, would love to join him again - we can tell he really cares about his customers and hopes they catch a big one.

3 Hour Trip – mixed tackle 9AM on August 25, 2025 • 8 adults

I took my family from RI to folly Beach in SC and the experience was amazing! We met right on time and started fishing right away and within 5 minutes we had a fish! The kids had a blast reeling in a few different species but overall the 8.5 foot bull shark took the top prize!! We all had a chance reeling it in and it was an amazing experience. I would recommend Cory and Alvin 10 times out of 10, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, if I come back down, I'll make sure to book again!

We debated on chartering a boat or surf fishing and boy are we glad we chose Cory. We had looked at his reviews for a week now before booking. Every review said they caught something (shark) and mentioned how they could tell how passionate Cory and his father, Alvin, were about fishing. Could not have been more accurate. We caught FIVE sharks, 4 species within 4 hours. Three were over 8 feet, our little family was the talk of the beach and entertainment for many. Cory and his father are knowledgeable and patient, and just as excited as we were when you heard that line spinning. Truly one of the best decisions we made on our little vacation with memories for a lifetime.

Amazing Time // Caught 5 shark species

4 Hour Trip – Mixed Tackle on April 9, 2025 • 9 adults

First off the guys were great and got us on fish. We were visiting the Charleston area for spring break, 3 families and their teens. We had primarily 3 dads and 3 teens fishing. Before and after booking, Corey was quick to communicate about the style of fishing, weather, what to expect, etc. in fact we had such bad wind leading up to and the day of that we considered canceling, but the guys put us in a great spot on the island that tucked us out of the wind. When we arrived to the spot poles were already set up and baits were out. Within the fist 10 minutes we hooked had 2 lines on simultaneously. We brought in a ray and a 3.5’ shark. Over the next 3.5 hours we caught a few whiting and 10 more sharks including sharp nose, black tip, bonnet head, sand bar, and a GIANT 9’9” sand tiger shark. Everyone had a great time. The fishing and spot was so much better than expected given the weather. I highly recommend and will be booking again the next time I’m in Charleston
