Escamas Pesca en San Andres Islas SAI
San Andrés, Colombia

There’s a fish with your name on it in San Andrés, and Escamas Fishing will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Erwin Howard can tell you all about the local fishery.

Depending on the season, you might hook into Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Snook, Great Barracuda, Bonefish, Mahi Mahi, Rainbow Runner, Pink Snapper, Bigeye Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, and whatever else is biting. You’ll target your catch by spinning, trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing. Capt. Erwin also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

You’ll be casting lines from a 26’ Saltwater fishing with a capacity for 8 passengers. It has and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Erwin will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t leave home without sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Escamas?
