Spend the day with Salty Paws Charters, and let them show you what makes the fishing in Galveston so memorable!
Depending on the season, you might hook into Speckled Trout, Flounder, Bull Reds, Sharks, and plenty more. On these trips, it’s common to use popping corks, drift, and bottom fish using light tackle. Live bait or artificial bait trips are available. Rods and reels will be ready for you.
Your adventure begins aboard a 24’ Majek Reaper with a capacity for 4 passengers. With a 36v trolling motor and dual power poles, you can sneak up on your trophy catch. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Robert is able to accommodate clients with special needs. Service dogs are welcome with prior arrangements with the Captain.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Children are welcome aboard.
You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Highly Recommend (10/10)— Great Captain, Great Fishing
This was my third trip out with Captain Bobby, and he continues to impress. He’s a great guy, an excellent fisherman, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a backcountry Texas trip targeting redfish, trout, or flounder. He works hard to put you on fish and makes the whole experience enjoyable. Launching out of the greater Galveston Bay area also makes it super convenient for anyone coming from Houston. Can’t wait for the next trip!

Great trip from Hitchcock!
We went out with Captain Bobby one morning and had a fantastic day. It didn’t take us lomg from pickup to get to the first fishing spot to get on the reds and specks. We caught a lot of fish we had to throw back, but what a fun fight! Captain Bobby is so patient, a great teacher, and generally a joy to be around. We fished with live shrimp and some artificials and never had a problem getting quick bites. Captain Bobby will put you on the fish!

Good Captain and Nice Boat/Tackle
Thanks for the trip, Captain Bobby! 👍👍It was my BIL and mine's first guided fishing excursion in Galveston Bay. 🇨🇱We didn't get to see any trophy fish this time, but we enjoyed the time on the saltwater and exploring the vast beauty of the area. It was just a hard day of fishing for everyone else that we encountered too-no fault of the Captain. I plan to come back so we can try again to get some trophy reds, trout, and flounder! It's been years since I've been to Galveston. I miss the smell of the saltwater and sounds of the seagulls and waves breaking.🌊 This trip was part fishing, part quality time with my brother in law, and part putting my sister/his wife to rest.🥹🙏🫶👼 This trip had laughs, sun, good conversation with a very personable Captain, tears(I Love and miss you, Sis.), and memories to last a lifetime. Captain Bobby, Jay and I hope to book you again and get to catch some real trophy fish! 🎣🐟🐠🏆Thank you!

Fantastic father/daughter fishing trip with Captain Bobby
I can't say enough good things about Captain Bobby and the time we spent with him fishing in and around Galveston Bay. Bobby is just a genuine great person. He instantly connected with us and was so great at teaching my 15 year old daughter how to fish inshore/bay from a boat. By the end she was casting and hooking her own fish. Beyond just fishing, Captain Bobby creates an exciting, but laid back experience that is all about making memories and having fun. We caught 6 different species of fish, including 2 solid redfish and a toad of a speckled trout that was 21". If you are ever looking for a guide in the galveston area for speckled trout, redfish, or multi-species - I 100% recommend booking with him.
