With years of experience fishing across the U.S, including Hawaii, and abroad, Captain Wesley knows how to put you on Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more, depending on the season.

Trips are typically done drifting and bottom fishing using light tackle aboard a 20’ Haynie H2O flats boat with a 90hp Mercury. The boat is fully equipped with a livewell, power poles, remote trolling motor, two ice boxes (one for fish, one for drinks/snacks), Bluetooth radio, and all rods, reels, tackle, and live bait provided. Fish cleaning is included at no extra charge.

Families are welcome! Kids must wear life vests, and it’s a good idea to bring snacks, bottled water, sunglasses, and non-spray sunscreen. Additional drinks, including beer, are allowed in moderation (no hard liquor or glass).

Before your trip, a local fishing license may be required for everyone in your group, and some species may have special regulations or tags.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or turning your daydream into reality, Captain Wesley will ensure a fun, productive, and safe day on the water. Book with Redhead Fishing and enjoy the funnest boat on the water, fully prepared to give you a memorable fishing experience in Port Aransas!

new experience in shallow water area in Port Aransas
Aransas pass launch 3 hour trip on April 25, 20263 adults1 child
we took the evening fishing trip from 5pm-8pm. first time to fish in the evening. it’s kinda a slow day. we got a few bites. the younger angler had caught a first keeper - a black drum. later I caught a slightly over 20” redfish. one thing I appreciate that the captain used live shrimp as lure. he was good putting baits on the hooks and made sure there are five rods in the water all the time even we only have four anglers. he also moved the biat around to seek more activities.

Great Day
Port Aransas pickup morning on April 9, 20262 adults
We didn’t catch the fish we wanted but he sure gave it his best effort. We caught fish but not the ones we would like to have caught but that was because it was probably to early in the season or weather conditions. He was a great guide and really worked hard to get us on some fish. We will go out with him again.

Great first time
Aransas pass launch 3 hour trip on May 17, 20252 adults
First time for me and my son fishing on this level and captain and his first mate went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Most of our trip was slow but not his fault he stayed on the move trying different spots to get the most out of our trip and in the end gave up some of his family time after a full day of wrk to let my son get all he could when captain Wesley found us a spot no extra charge. Will definitely be coming to him again. Thanks again and definitely recommend his charter

Captian did a great job getting my son and his buddy on fish. Was professional and even let my wife play her tunes while catching reds with a sunet background - we even caught a flounder making it a TX grand slam fishing trip. Recommend the guide for reds heads will be booking another trip soon.
