Cap’n Hoek Fishing Adventures – Blue Ridge
If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Cap’n Hoek Fishing Adventures.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Catfish, Yellow Perch, Walleye, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Spotted Bass, and more with any luck. You’ll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 22’ Tidewater center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Hunter will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. A few items to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Cap’n Hoek Fishing Adventures!
