Stephen & Martin were great. Friendly fun outgoing knowledgeable welcoming. My first deep sea/offshore fishing experience. Booked the am 4 hour trip. Weather was great but it had rained the day/night prior which might have been the reason our catch was limited to 1. Eat prior to the trip and suggest sandwiches and snacks to bring with. Captain Stephen promised us a catch and stuck to his words. 48 inch WAHOO. MONSTAH MON!!! Beautiful fish. We are getting it mounted and looking forward to seeing the finished product. Would have liked to eaten some but the shot of warm WAHOO blood to pay tribute/respect to the 30lb'er & the gorgeous ocean. Memories for life. Was just grateful to be out on the open water and Learning from the best in Negril. Hope you fine gents and those in need we donated to enjoyed that bad boy! Respect Mon! Fishing charter will inked in from here on out on future trips. Don't book anywhere else, you will regret it later. FACTS 💯 And don't forget to TIP THE CREW!! 🇯🇲 ONE LOVE my gang 🇯🇲 Until next time. Stay safe! 🫶🏻 The 'TJ JOHNSON' 🐻⬇️
TJ, WOW! What a review! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. Stephen and Martin will be thrilled to read this. We pride ourselves on making every guest feel welcome, whether it's their first offshore fishing trip or their fiftieth, and it sounds like the crew delivered exactly that. You're absolutely right—fishing is called fishing, not catching, and some days Mother Nature makes us work a little harder. But Captain Stephen is nothing if not determined, and we're glad he was able to keep his promise with that incredible 48-inch Wahoo! What a fish and what a memory. We can't wait to see the mount when it's finished. More than anything, we're happy you enjoyed the experience of being out on the beautiful Caribbean Sea, learning about the local fishery, and spending time with the crew. That's what it's all about. Thank you as well for your generosity in sharing your catch with the local community. That spirit of giving back means a lot to us and to the people who benefit from it. We truly appreciate your kind words, your support, and your recommendation. We'll have a spot waiting for you on your next trip to Negril. Until then, ONE LOVE, safe travels, and tight lines! Liz, Captain Stephen, Martin & the Tightlines Charters Negril Crew 🇯🇲🎣

Went for a 3/4 day trolling, one week after hurricane Beryl. Capt and first mate worked hard to find the fish, but it was a slow day. Caught a small tuna and had one bull mahi crash the spread, hitting two baits before moving on. Boat (SurReel) was SUPER clean, tackle was top notch Penn gear. The other boats in the fleet had some age on them. Chad, the first mate, was great. Polite and knowledgeable. They had made sandwiches for the anglers, cold beer and water/soft drinks. Good location, pick up at hotel is available, overall good experience. Recommend that you manage your expectations and align to the fishing seasons. Middle of July is not the best time to fish, especially 1 wk after a hurricane. Yes, I would do it again on the same boat, with the same crew at the same price.

Great boat, gear, and crew.
Great time on the boat with Stephen and Michael. Trip started slow but finally located the birds and got into some good action landing 3 yellow fin and 1 skip jack. No monsters by any means but great experience nonetheless - the crew cooked up one of the yellowfins on the boat for us, got to see several whales breach next to the boat, dolphin followed us in and got to see the "tax man" breach the surface and eat one of the tunas during blitz. Sad to hear other charters apparently were not as lucky and did not catch this morning. Overall great experience. My only gripe was that I couldn't bring my personal spinning reel to site cast because they didn't have a spinning rod to accommodate…would have been awesome to throw out some poppers during tuna blitz.
