Cobia, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Grunt, King Mackerel, Pompano, Redfish, Black Seabass, Mangrove Snapper, Tripletail, Bull Shark, Spotted Seatrout, and more could be biting if conditions are right. For these species, you’re likely to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Tim also offers Flounder gigging.
Capt. Tim operates a 21’ Carolina Skiff with room for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Trips with Sidehustle Excursions are great for kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Some essentials to bring are snacks, drinks, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Half Day Trip
Good times
Captain Tim and his first mate(son) were very personable and easy to talk to. For our first time saltwater fishing, they knew where to take us to keep the fish biting! Highlight of the trip were the two sharks the kids caught, and the third I almost got in the boat…it was a monster, I’m sure of it!! Well done fellas, we will be talking about this for years to come!

Full Day Trip
Truly, a perfect day!
We had out of town guests with children visiting from Switzerland and the one thing they really wanted to do was to go fishing! Captain Tim and his First Mate made our day so special! We caught fish, enjoyed swimming and even walked the beach collecting shells! A great day for all of us!

Half Day Trip
Pre Helene Fishing Trip
Captain Tim and his first mate Cutter were great. Very experienced , professional and knew where the fish would be biting. We did a half day trip just a few days before hurricane Helene hit , so it did have an effect on the fish biting. However, Captain Tim kept us on the move so we could experience catching a variety of different fish . His boat is comfortable and easy to maneuver around in and is equipped with all the up to date technology. We had a great time and still caught enough fish for two meals for a family of four. We would definitely go back out with Tim again and would highly recommend. Thanks again gentlemen.

Half Day Trip
Day late but not a dollar short.
Had to postpone our trip from Saturday to Sunday due to weather. Had a great time. We caught quite a few that were too small but still had a few keepers of speckled trout. Capt. Tim and first mate Cutter were great. Will use them again!

Great day at sea!
We had a great time with Captain Tim and first mate Cutter! The fishing was slow at first, but they kept working until we got on good fish. Everyone on our excursion caught fish! Great company, enjoyed the crew very much! Thanks Captain Tim and Cutter!
