Quality Catfishing with Markybob Catfishing on Watts Bar. With 25+ years of Catfishing these waters, Captain Mark can put you on Catfish. Multiple Launch locations are available. Contact Capt. Mark for the launch location that best fits you. Watts Bar (Rockwood, Kingston, Spring City, Ten Mile), Watts Bar Tailwaters, are among the available launch locations.

You can expect to target Blue Catfish and Flathead Catfish, some of which can be near 50 lbs. or more. There are special excursions also available to catch/keep Skipjack Herring and White Bass depending on the time of year. See available trips to learn about these very special excursions.

You can expect fishing with heavy tackle using various Tennessee River tactics (Dragging/Planer Board, Drifting, Suspending, Bumping, Float Rigging, and Bottom Rigging).

Get the whole family outdoors! Kids are absolutely welcome! Child-sized life vests are available, but you can bring your own.

You’ll be fishing from a large, comfortable 24’ Lowe Pontoon modified for Catfishing, Modern Electronics, GPS Trolling Motor, and a comfortable capacity for 5 passengers (5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children). Can take more but the boat tends to get crowded with more than 5. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. This vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Mark has rods and reels for you, along with all of the necessary tackle.

You must purchase & possess a valid Tennessee license before the trip. This information is available online at GoTennesseeOutdoors or ask for assistance. Please possess a license in advance of the trip. A few items to bring: sunglasses, sunblock, drinks and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Sorry, Capt. Mark does not clean fish, but you can keep fish that are under 15lbs. Larger fish are catch and release only for conservation purposes.

Three outstanding trips in one month

5 Hour Trip – Rockwood Catfish (AM) on September 12, 2025 • 4 adults

I do not write reviews, but I felt strongly to support Mark for his outstanding knowledge and professionalism as a professional charter guide. I have gone on three charters in one month with him, bringing nine total people. Every person was blown away and amazed by the experience. Every one of these nine people caught the biggest catfish in their life. Now not everybody has caught 40 pound catfish, but every fish is a trophy depending on your experience. 10 pound catfish can still make you smile. We had many fish in the 30+ pound range and those definitely set some high goals to have to break in the future. One of Mark‘s strengths is sharing his knowledge of this fishery with you while you fish. His 40 years of knowledge identified different kinds of birds, fish, and the history on how the river started and has changed over time. Haven been a navy rescue swimmer, he puts everybody at ease with the safety of this experience and how any emergency situations should be handled with a very thorough departure pre-brief. I cannot recommend this experience enough and I’m already planning my next charter

My son has been catching small catfish for years, but they were always just a pound or two. He really wanted to catch a bigger one that would require a net. Today was his lucky day!! He finally got to pull in a big one. The fish were not cooperating, but Captain Mark put us in some great spots and it paid off. He was very professional, patient, and knowledgeable. We had a great time and my son made a new memory. We will definitely be back to hook more big cats.

Amazing fishing charter! Captain Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive throughout the trip, always making sure we were in the right spot and had what we needed. We ended up catching 23 fish and had a blast the whole time. Great experience from start to finish — highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and successful day on the water! Markybob will put you on quality fish and is by far best charter in Tennessee.

5 Hour Trip – Rockwood Catfish (PM) on July 9, 2025 • 5 adults

We went early in the morning on July 9th. Captain Mark was correct in telling me that the fish bite much better in the morning. We were on 3 of them before 10min out there. We caught 19 fish!!! One of the best hauls all year!!! We hit monster cats!!!! 40, 30 and 20 pounders. I'm not a fisherman at all but even I was catching the fishing bug. Thank you captain Mark for an amazing day we all had a blast.

Fantastic Catfishing Trip in Tennessee!
