If you're going to cast a line in SW Florida look no further than Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Whitney can tell you all about them.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Skipjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Warsaw Grouper, and who knows what else! On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea to keep their stamina going!

Capt. Whitney will bring you aboard a 29' Billistic center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Whitney will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters will make it easy for you to go fishing in Cape Coral. So, how about booking that trip?

If you are looking for a FANTASTIC offshore trip- thisnis the guide and crew you need!!!!
Offshore Fishing on June 27, 20265 adults

★★★★★ We had an absolutely incredible experience with Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! Captain Whitney Hall and First Mate Dan are, without question, the best charter crew we’ve ever fished with. From the moment we left the dock, they worked tirelessly to keep us on fish—and they absolutely delivered. We were catching fish consistently all day long, and it seemed like every move they made put us in another productive spot. The lines stayed tight, and the action never stopped! What really set this trip apart was their patience and willingness to teach. We had several novice anglers in our group, and every time someone encountered something new, Captain Whitney and Dan took the time to explain what to do, why it mattered, and how to become better anglers. They never rushed anyone, were incredibly encouraging, and made sure everyone felt successful. The highlight of the day, though, was how they treated our son, who is home on leave from the United States Air Force. Captain Whitney made him feel like the guest of honor and the star of the show. It was obvious that this wasn’t just for show—he genuinely takes time to honor active-duty service members and veterans with sincere gratitude, respect, and appreciation. As parents, seeing our son recognized and celebrated in that way meant more to us than words can express. It’s a reflection of Captain Whitney’s character and the kind of person he is. Their knowledge of the local waters, tides, and target species was second to none. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and that passion makes the entire experience even better. The boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable, the equipment was top-notch and well-maintained, and every detail was taken care of so we could simply enjoy an amazing day on the water. We’ve been on a lot of fishing charters over the years, and this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. If you’re looking for a first-class fishing experience with outstanding people who know how to put you on fish while making the day fun, educational, and memorable, book with Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters, Captain Whitney Hall, and First Mate Dan. You won’t just leave with fish—you’ll leave with memories that will last a lifetime. We will absolutely be back!

Off shore trip with Captain Dan
Offshore Fishing on December 27, 2025

Our offshore fishing experience was absolutely incredible! Capt Dan took great care of us. He was thorough and patient helping make everyone on board feel safe and confident. He took us to several sweet spots where we caught several red snapper and grouper. Our entire group had a blast! If this is your first time going out or you have been out many times, you won’t be disappointed when you book with Capt. Dan!

Great time with Matlatcha outfitters!
Offshore Fishing on September 1, 2025

Wow! Words can’t express how fortunate we feel to have booked another fishing outing with Captains Whitney and Dan. They managed to squeeze in a few bar stops for us in between fishing and we even made it to the beach for sunset. I 1000% recommend this group for all of your fishing/adventure needs. We have a freezer full of fish and some amazing memories. Thanks again gentlemen!

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida spent my childhood fishing in the river and on the beaches. Once I got old enough, my dad started taking me offshore, and a fire started burning in my mind about how much I love fishing.. Once I got out of the Marine Corps and move back to Florida I immediately jumped back on the boat and havent looked back. I've been fortunate to fish all over the world and with some of the best captains that I've ever fished. I bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and expertise.. "the tug is the drug"
