Join Nuevo Vallarta Fishing and have a great Mexican fishing adventure! You can depart from either Nuevo Vallarta or Puerto Vallarta, depending on what is easier for you. They are just a few minutes' drive from the Licenciado Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport. Captains Alfonzo and Juan will take you to the best fishing spots and make sure you have fun.
Their 34' Sea Ray offshore sportfishing boat is powered by two 315 HP Cummins engines and equipped with a VHF radio. The boat can accommodate up to 8 anglers and features a cabin, a flybridge, an enclosed marine head, and couch seating. It is equipped with a fighting chair, first mate, live bait tank, outriggers, and snorkeling equipment.
The crew specializes in deep sea fishing, bottom fishing, light tackle fishing, and jigging. They use Penn International tackle. They offer half day, three quarter day, and full day trips, mainly fishing for Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Marlin, Jack Crevalle, Roosterfish, and Pompano, depending on the season and conditions.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price of the trip, as are any lures and live bait. The crew also offer a fish cleaning and filleting service so you can take your catch to be cooked at a local restaurant at the end of the trip. You can also do some snorkeling if you want to explore the underwater world up close.
The friendly English-speaking crew has many years of experience fishing in the local area and welcomes anglers of all skill levels on board.

We all caught tons of fish. We caught enough to feed our full group of 24. And if that wasn’t enough, they filleted the fish for us and recommended a local restaurant that will cook it for us. I highly recommend this crew of the Toaba. They did absolutely everything right. Our guide even stopped for one moment and directed us towards the horizon where we were able to see a whale in the distance.

Half Day Trip on November 30, 2023 • 4 adultsWe took our kids out for their first fishing trip, we were unsure our kids would enjoy it since you never really know if you’ll catch something. We chose a 4hr fishing trip to not overwhelm the kids. 1st Mate Papo and Captain Chacho, had everything prepared and ready for when we got there. As soon as we left the marina, we caught our first fish, 10 minutes later we caught a huge Toro fish, and after that, we consistently caught something every 20-30 minutes. Each kid was able to reel in at least 4 fish, and we got to see several dolphins along the way. The trip was a breeze and Papo was very accommodating and easy going. He prepared some ceviche for us and then sliced up the fish so we can take it to a restaurante nearby where they cook your catch in a number of delicious ways. We will definitely come back and book this trip again!

3/4 Day Trip on October 21, 2023 • 2 adultsMy wife and I took a trip this weekend. With captain Juan Zepeda and his first mate1/2 day of working the reels , and dropping them on deck! Trolling, light tackle, you name it. These guys are the business. With some great sight fishing from the captain, less than one hour out. BAM! Our first Dorado (mahi-mahi) of the day. ! My wife pulled herself one in, soon after.! Needless to say, I should’ve brought a bigger cooler bag. Between the 3! Dorado , and the tunas we pulled in. More than we could take back home to LA. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat. Capt Juan and just first mate Carlos, took great care of us. And made this trip one for the books

Full Day Trip on January 5, 2022 • 2 adultsWe were met at the marina by Juan the captain. We also had Guillermo with us. We had a great day out on the ocean. We caught alot of fish and had a nice day out on the water. Guillermo made fresh ceviche from the Spanish Mackarel that we caught and it was delicious. He did a great job. It was just my husband and I and we both enjoyed the sun and ocean along with fishing. We caught several bonitas, also some Jacks that were big and fun to fish for. The boat is clean and comfortable. I would recommend them.

3/4 Day Trip on September 26, 2023 • 4 adultsBoat was on time for pick up and in good shape. Deck hand Carlos was awesome and kept everything running smoothly. Caught two Dorados and they were cleaned, fileted and packaged nicely for us and enjoyed them for dinner. Fishing could have been better but that was not fault of the captain as he continually worked the ocean. I would recommend this boat and crew for fishing in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed in Nuevo Vallarta and they picked us up at the Nuevo harbor.

Highly Recommend Captain and Carlos – An Unforgettable Fishing Adventure! I can't say enough about the incredible fishing trip we had with Captain and Carlos! My friend Brian, our three kids, and I went out with them for a day on the ocean, and it was hands-down one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had. From start to finish, these guys were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had an absolute blast. It took about 45 minutes to reach the spot where the fish were biting, but once we got there, it was pure magic. The fish were hitting one after another for a solid hour—it was non-stop action! We were reeling them in so fast that I'm convinced if we'd had one more deckhand, we could've caught hundreds. My kids were over the moon, and I know they'll be talking about this trip for years to come. Captain and Carlos knew exactly where to take us and kept the energy high, making sure everyone was having fun and landing fish. What really stood out was their honesty and kindness. I didn't have cash on me for the trip and let them know afterward (I was upfront about it because I didn't want any issues). Not only were they completely understanding, but they went out of their way to take us to an ATM via the boat so I could pay. When I accidentally overpaid, they meticulously counted the money and insisted on giving me back the extra. That level of integrity is rare and speaks volumes about their character. Captain and Carlos were fantastic with the kids, keeping them engaged and safe while creating an atmosphere of pure joy. They're not just skilled at what they do—they're genuinely great people who care about their guests. This trip gave my kids, Brian, and me memories we'll cherish forever, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
