The fish in these waters include Sheepshead, Cobia, Mahi, Flounder, Grouper, Triggerfish, Spanish & King Mackerel, Red & Black Drum, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year.
During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets hungry!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 24’ Sea Fox center console that holds up to 4 fishing or 6 sightseers. The Captain has everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Dale has rods and reels for you. Live bait is included, but you’re welcome to throw one of the cast nets.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

2hr Sightseeing Tour
Great experience for the kids
I had scheduled a last minute trip for 3 boys ages 10, 7 and 2 to get some fishing in before Labor Day. Dale was gracious enough to take us out on Labor Day. I underestimated my kids excitement. 3 excited kids on a boat, what could go wrong? NOTHING that’s what. Nothing went wrong all was perfect. The rain even held up for us. Dale was super knowledgable about the fish and waters in the area. As a single mom who knows absolutely nothing about fishing Dale helped with bait, and taking the fish off the hook. I’m sure Dale burned 1000 calories on this trip because every time he turned around the boys were catching fish 2 at a time. I really appreciate all Dale’s help on this trip and making memories knowledgeably a lifetime.

3/4 Day Fishing Trip
Sheepshead Queen and crew
Dale took us out for one of the best trips we’ve been on! 3/4 day trip and we caught a few substantial sized sheepshead, tons of grunt, a few trout, a beautiful flounder, a blue and a few puffer fish. Dale was knowledgeable, friendly and kind, and took safety very seriously. Our group of 5 had every range of skill level from novice to pro, and we all were successful and had a great time! We can’t wait to go back out!

1/2 Day PM Fishing Trip
Fantastic day
Dale was awesome and made sure that MY children had a wonderful experience. He taught them so much about what and how to catch along with what bait works best. He connected with my son and offered to take him out whenever he comes to town. He also took the time to clean our fish and taught us the best way to prepare the fish to eat. We went home and cooked that night and it was amazing. Wonderful day on the water💙

Captain Dale was excellent
The kids enjoyed catching fish, and we all enjoyed Captain Dale! The boat was clean and Dale was very thoughtful of the needs of all in our group. We highly recommend Bubba Thing Charters!

Hooked em then watched dolphins
Catching fish at first stop, we couldn't bait our hooks quick enough. Really gave his poles a work out! Capt. Was friendly and very knowledgeable. Helpful in every way. This charter is a must. Did I mention he cleaned it catch as well. Give Bubba Thing a try, you won't be sorry
