These waters are home to Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and more, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your vessel for the day is a 2024, 23’ El Pescador center console that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Marsh Life Charters is an advocate for the conservation of the fisheries. With that being said all oversized fish will be caught, photographed, and released. You will also be able to keep Trout up to 3 per person with a size of 15”-20”, to continue helping the population to grow after the last freeze.

Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), snacks, and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
