Hoping to catch some fish in Malé? Make it happen, with Ocean Strike Fishing! Captain Moosa will be your guide, so you'll benefit from years of professional experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Barracuda, Giant Seabass, Barramundi, and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
You'll be dropping lines from a 33' sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 8 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. It's recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
And that's it! Your fishing trip with Ocean Strike Fishing is just a click away.

I have just completed one of the top items on my bucket list—my first-ever Big Game Fishing trip in the Maldives—and I cannot thank Captain Moosa and his incredibly hardworking crew member enough for making it a reality. From the moment we set off, their professionalism and passion for fishing were evident. As a beginner, I was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer power of the fish. After catching the first two massive Wahoos, my arms were screaming, and I honestly felt like giving up and heading back to the resort. However, Captain Moosa and the crew member didn't let me quit. They kept encouraging me, guiding my technique, and providing the perfect balance of support and motivation. Thanks to their persistence, I dug deep and managed to land a total of six incredible Wahoos and one beautiful Mahi-Mahi! The crew went above and beyond not just with the fishing, but also by capturing every thrilling moment. They took so many fantastic photos and videos that I have already updated all my social media profile pictures to show off my prize catches! While it was my 'long, long dream' to catch a Sailfish or a large Yellowfin Tuna, and I am a tiny bit sad we didn't hook one this time, the sheer number and quality of the Wahoos we caught more than made up for it. It just gives me a perfect reason to come back! Captain Moosa and Crew, thank you for your patience, your expertise, and for giving me a memory that will last a lifetime. Next time I am in the Maldives, I will only be fishing with Ocean Strike. Highly recommended!

thank your 🙏🙏🙏
We were a group of 4 and had an amazing day at sea. The boat, the equipment and of course the crew are great! We highly recommend this tour. All of us caught Yellowfin Tuna and some Bonitos and Groupers. It was an amazing experience!

Thank you choosing us and fishing with you was an amazing experience. Hope you'll choose us next time as well 🎣

Today, the fish didn't bite very well, but the team constantly alternated between popping, jigging, and trolling, so the results were good! New boat, new equipment, and a great team. I highly recommend it!

Thank you for you kind words. hope to see yor again soon👋👋
The crew works to get results! They make sure every participant catches their fish, even if the participant isn't very experienced at it. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind words. Hope to see you again soon 🎣
Capt. Moosa runs trips out of Malé aboard a 33' cuddy cabin. These waters are known for Mahi Mahi and Marlin and he will show you how to catch them, whether you're trolling or bottom fishing. With great knowledge of the area, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
