Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Drum, Bluefish, Cobia, Crab, Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Ladyfish, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, and whatever else takes the bait. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Fishfinatic Guide Service is a child-friendly charter service, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

You'll be welcome aboard a 21' Key West bay boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Amazing Core Memory

Murrells Inlet 3/4 Day Trip on April 7, 2026 • 3 adults • 1 child

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Captain Larry was absolutely incredible — hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had as a family! This was my kids’ very first fishing trip, and he made it unforgettable from start to finish. We caught around 10 fish and even landed a keeper flounder, which had the kids beyond excited. But what really stood out was Captain Larry himself — patient, engaging, and genuinely invested in making sure we all had a great time. He took the time to teach, encouraged the kids, and kept things fun the entire trip. On top of that, he was just an awesome guy to talk to — felt like we were out on the water with a friend. My kids will be talking about this trip for years. If you’re looking for a captain who delivers both a great fishing experience and lasting memories, Captain Larry is the one. We’ll definitely be back!

Great Captain with lots of knowledge

Murrells Inlet Half Day on March 4, 2026 • 3 adults

Captain Larry went above and well beyond with getting us on fish. The fishing was bad in Murrells Inlet so he recommend going to Georgetown and we made a bad day into a great day with catching a few extra species that we didn't even expect to catch and even helping out a fellow angler at the dock who lost his boat at the dock. Great captain and would recommend him to anyone that wants a great day on the water catching fish along with great conversation

Unforgettable Day on the Water! We had an incredible experience with captain Larry! From the moment we stepped aboard, the captain Larry was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. He knew all the best spots and made sure we were comfortable and having a great time every step of the way. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed. We caught plenty of fish — including some we never expected! The captain was great at teaching us techniques and helping everyone, from beginners to experienced anglers, get in on the action. It was more than just a fishing trip — it was a full adventure. Beautiful views, great conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere made it the highlight of our trip. We’ll absolutely book again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a top-notch day out on the water!

Captain Larry Put Us On Fish!

Captain Larry is everything that I hoped a fishing guide would be. He was knowledgeable about the area, had a detailed plan on when and where to go to catch fish, and was overall a very pleasant guy to talk to and be around. One thing that really stood out was just how excited he was when we caught fish and just how disappointed he was when a big fish on the end of the line turned out to be a huge stingray instead of a big redfish. You could tell he loved fishing and that he really enjoyed being a guide. We caught redfish, flounder, bluefish, black drum, stingrays and various other fish. Will definitely be booking with him again next time I’m in the area. Had a great time with my brothers. Thanks so much again Captain Larry!

Excellent day fishing

Murrells Inlet Half Day - 1:00 PM on November 11, 2025 • 2 adults

Captain Larry is one of the greats. We had cold and windy weather, but no bother, we worked around the creeks and inlets, found reds, trout and flounder as well as some hard-fighting blues. Overall, one of the best days I've had fishing, and I've fished inshore from Costa Rica to the Chesapeake Bay. I can't wait to come back and fish with Captain Larry in Murrells Inlet. Great captain and great fishery.
