These guys are the reel deal…pun intended. The communication between captain & customer prior to our trip was a pleasant surprise. Captain Bob contacted us the evening before to make sure we knew exactly where we were headed, if we had any questions regarding the trip in general, as well what our expectations/intentions were for the trip. Needless to say he delivered above & beyond expectation. If you’re looking for a charter service that is truly passionate about what they do, you’re at the right place. We spent the trip trolling for Kings & let me tell you, we had an absolute hell of a time. We may have come home with only one keeper but we were on fish all day…literally right from the get go. Not even 10/15 minutes went by after our bait was in the water that we were hooked up with our first fish. After which we were on fish after fish. We did lose two keepers but that in no means reflects poorly on these guys. That is why they call it fishing & not catching after all. To boot, we hooked into a monster shark that proved to be one of the highlight fights of the day…and all on light tackle! All in all it was an incredible trip & experience with Reel Salty, so needless to say I will certainly be back for my future trips when in the area. Thanks again Capt Bob!

The Davidson Cousins

This was our first time fishing and it was a blast. We had some bouts of sea sickness but no way we were gonna let that slow us down. Captain Bob was very knowledgeable and patient with my kids. For my little ones he would hook the fish then hand the rod over so they could reel it in. He helped me with a big fish and it was an exhilarating fight. This trip was amazing and definitely created some core memories.

We took a 5 hour trip with Captain Bob.  We trolled for King Mackerel and came back with 2 nice fish and also fished on the bottom and put many different kinds of fish in the boat.  Our 7 year old was able to reel in one of the two King Mackerel.  Captain Bob was very good at explaining the tactics of each way of fishing.  He was also really good at helping our 7 year old fish and keeping an eye on him. Captain Bob cleaned our fish and explained the best ways for it to be cooked.  Would highly recommend Captain Bob and Reel Salty.

We had booked a 8 hour Deep Sea fishing, but due to mother nature causing 4-6 ft waves we stayed about 3-4 miles away from shore and cut the trip down to 5 hours. This was no one’s fault but mother nature. We still fished for over 3 hours, had 7 bites, caught 2. We caught a King Mac and a Shark but threw them both back, we had another we were bringing in and it got off the line.  We had a good time, but we did get beat up by the waves even as close as we were. I would love to do it again when the waves are better. Captain was awesome, very knowledgable about everything associated with the trip. He actually gave us some good advice and where to hang out after the trip.

When out for half a day with Capt Bob, he was courteous, worked hard to put us on some fish. There were 4 of us that varied from hardly ever fish to some that fish all the time and we all caught something.
